Essence Studios, Dance & Performing Arts is offering an expanded selection of summer camps and classes, designed to provide a fun, exciting, and beneficial experience for all age groups in dance, acting, and musical theater!
Essence Studios’ goal is to offer a variety of dance forms to bring the joy of dance to even more members of the community. We hope to see you this summer at the studio!

REFUND POLICY: In the case of unforeseen student/family issues or schedule changes that result in the student not being able to attend, Essence Studios will reimburse 50% of the student’s initial registration fee up to the morning of the first day of class/camp. No refunds will be issued once that camp or class begins. No refunds or make-up sessions will be available for students that miss individual classes due to illness or events outside of Essence Studios’ control.
DROP-OFF & PICK UP POLICY: Studio doors will open only 10 min before each camp of the day begins, however a parent/guardian must stay with their child in the lobby and waiting area until the actual start time. Essence Studios is not responsible for the care of said dancer/student until the start of camp listed below, nor responsible for watching over a student 10 min after the conclusion of camp. If a parent/guardian must drop off their child and leave prior to the start of camp, or is more than 10 min late in picking them up, then an additional before and after-care charge will be incurred.
SUMMER 2024 HALF-DAY JUNIOR CAMPS
June 24th – June 28th
Fairy Tale Fantasy: 9:30am-12pm, ages 4-6 (ballet/tap). $225 cash or check, $231.53 by credit card. Get inspired by our favorite fantastical stories, characters, and creatures as we dance, enjoy story-time, themed crafts, and a Friday Tea party!
Attire: leotard and tights, ballet shoes
Elementary Musical Theater Camp: 1:00pm-3:30pm, ages 7-11 (singing, dancing, acting) $250 cash or check, $257.25 by credit card.
Explore what it takes to become a triple threat as we sing, dance, and act our way through the week! Will culminate in a mini show/performance put on for families on the last day of camp!
Attire: Must bring either ballet shoes or jazz shoes. Campers will wear close fitting clothing that completely covers the torso, chest, and legs down to the knees. This includes full length and ¾ leggings, leotards, tank tops, tighter T-shirts, etc.
July 1st – July 3rd *3-day camps, Studio CLOSED July 4th and 5th
Dancing Dinosaurs Camp: 9:30am-12pm, ages 4-6 (ballet/tap). $135 cash or check, $138.92 by credit card. Bring along a favorite stuffed dinosaur to join in the fun as we dance, tell stories, do some crafts, and enjoy a Friday Tea party with our scaly friends!
Attire: leotard and tights, ballet shoes, and tap shoes (or stiff-soled shoes)
Dance Mania Camp: 1:00pm-3:30pm, ages 7-11 (tap/jazz/ballet). $150 cash or check, $154.35 by credit card.
Explore and learn the technique of 3 popular dance styles that have come to shape the industry. We’ll round out the afternoon with games, stories, and some themed crafts!
Attire: leotard and tights, ballet shoes, jazz shoes (not required), and tap shoes
July 8th – July 12th
Space Dance Camp: 9:30am-12pm, ages 4-6 (ballet/tap). $225 cash or check, $231.53 by credit card. Discover how we can take inspiration to move from the planets, the stars, and moons! SUMMER 2024 FULL DAY CAMPS / INTENSIVES
July 15th – July 19th
Adolescent Ballet Camp: 10:00am-3:30pm, with a half-hour break for lunch at 12pm, ages 8-12 (applicable for Essence students currently enrolled in Ballet 6/7, Ballet 8, and Teen Ballet). $435 cash or check, $447.62 by credit card. Ballet technique, stretching, classic repertoire introduction, and choreography exploration for your young dancer!

July 22nd – July 26th
Musical Theatre Camp: 10:00am-3:30pm, with a half-hour break for lunch at noon, ages 12-18. $425 cash or check, $437.63 by credit card.
Campers will learn to work as an ensemble, building confidence and working as a team to recreate scenes from classic and contemporary works. Acting exercises and games will compliment musical theatre dance classes and choreography, as well as learning the vocals of musical theatre songs. The week will conclude with a Cabaret of musical theatre numbers performed on the last day of camp!
July 29th – August 9th
Intermediate & Advanced Ballet Intensive: 9:30am-2:30pm, with a half-hour break for lunch at noon. Ages 14-18. By in-person or video audition only.
Carrying on tradition, the Advanced Summer Intensive is for the serious ballet student.
