The mission of Essence Studios includes offering a variety of classes for the area’s adults. We currently have established yoga, tap, ballet, barre, and stretch classes. See the times for classes below, scroll down the list of classes to see what interests you, and then go to the Adult Registration, Spring 2025 page for instructions to register! Please check back here frequently for new class offerings, or contact us with suggestions or for updates.
Spring 2025 Registration opens Friday, December 13th.

PLEASE NOTE: Any payment by credit card will include a 2.9% service fee, added to the tuition listed below.
SPRING 2024 SEMESTER: January 6 – June 13
ADULT TAP:
Tap with Poolesville’s Ashley Kelch. Please bring tap shoes or stiff-soled shoes!
Drop-in pay for first class only: $20 by check or cash, $20.58 by credit card.
- Thursdays, 7:30pm-8:30pm
- Two 11 week sessions (No class Thursday, April 17th)
- Session 1: January 9th – March 20th
- Session 2: March 27th – June 12th
- $218 per session
MIXED LEVEL YOGA:
Drop-in pay for first class only: $22 by cash or check, $22.64 by credit card.
There will be Two 11 week sessions in the Spring Semester:
- Session 1: Jan 7th – Mar 23rd
- Session 2: March 25th – June 10th (No class Tuesday, April 15th nor Sunday, April 20th)
With 2 Tiers of Yoga Registration to choose from:
- Tier One: 1 Yoga class a week, $220 per session
- Tier Two: 2 Yoga classes a week, $435 per session
Below are the class times to choose from for each Tier of Yoga Registration at Essence:
- Tuesdays, 7:30pm-8:30pm “Mixed Level Vinyasa”
- Sundays, 9:30am-10:30am “Mixed Level Flow”
BARRE for EVERY BODY:
Exercise with Poolesville’s own Joyce Berger! Please bring your own Yoga mat. Drop-in pay for first class only: $22 by cash or check, $22.64 by credit card.
- Thursdays, 8:15am – 9:30am
- Two 11 week sessions (No class April 27th)
- Session 1: Jan 9th-Mar 23rd
- Session 2: March 27th – June 12th
- $195 per session
**Class Description: “Barre for Every Body is an exercise class choreographed to music for all fitness levels. To strengthen, stretch, improve your balance and posture, we adapt elements of ballet technique using light, handheld weights, simple props, a yoga or Pilates mat, and of course the ballet barre.”
***Combine Classes: Register for Senior Barre AND any Tier for Mixed Level Yoga and get a $25 discount***
STRETCH:
Taught by Senior Essence Faculty member Justin Rustle. Please bring your own mat. May wear socks or be barefoot. Drop-in pay for first class only: $22 by cash or check, $22.64 by credit card.

- Session 1: Jan 10th – Mar 24th
- Session 2: March 28th – June 13th

ADULT BALLET:
Beginner and Intermediate levels taught by Essence Faculty Miss Diane. Please bring Ballet shoes or socks! Drop-in pay for first class only: $22 by check or cash, $22.64 by credit card

- Two 11 week sessions (No class April 16th)
- Session 1: Jan 8th – Mar 19th
- Session 2: March 26th – June 11th
